The Geography of Loss

For what or for whom do you grieve?

A few guidelines:

1) 400 words or less, photos, and short videos are welcomed. PLEASE draft these in a word doc and then paste them in here in case there is a hiccup in the program and it is lost. At least then you can repaste it in. THANKS!

2) Please note that submissions are anonymous unless you include your name at the end of your post (in the body of the post). YOU MUST LOG OUT OF TUMBLR FOR THEM TO BE ANONYMOUS. Once you’re logged out of tumblr, you can submit with a fake name and email address to further ensure anonymity.

3) ALSO, PLEASE USE THE IMAGE UPLOADER in the tool bar below to insert photos. (If you link to a photo that is hosted elsewhere, like on Facebook, it won’t appear.)

4) By posting here, you are giving permission for possible use of your story in my upcoming book, “The Geography of Loss.”

5) Because so many beautiful words are being contributed to this site, your essay will go into a queue and will be published in order of submission.
